Dr. David Ching
Dr. David Ching was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and attended Punahou High School and obtained his B.A. in Psychology from Chaminade University.
He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Dave continued on to NOVA Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, where he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. After finishing this residency, he moved home to provide valuable dental care on Kauai for 4 years. While working, Dr. Dave found a real affinity for treating children. He returned to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to complete a 2-year Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry.
While at Tufts, Dr. Dave conducted research on pain reduction techniques for the pediatric patient and was awarded with “Best Scientific Research Presentation 2012.” Dr. Dave has found proven techniques that reduce discomfort during dental injections. His study titled “Efficacy of the Dental Vibe Injection System for Pediatric Patients” was so well received he was asked by the program to present his findings at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry meeting in San Diego. Dr. Dave is always striving to find ways to help his patients feel at ease and have a pleasant dental visit.
Dr. Dave’s strong foundation in general dentistry and expertise in pediatrics allows him to comfortably provide complete family dental care. He joins his father, Kin Ching, D.D.S., who has been a local pediatric dentist for well over 30 years and Lauren Young, D.D.S. Dr. Dave is thrilled to be working with Dr. Kin Ching and Dr. Young to continue the legacy of providing quality dental care to the children of Hawaii.
When he is not at the dental office, he enjoys his free time hiking, spearfishing, and staying active in sports activities.
Dr. Fred Chen
Dr. Fred Chen was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He received his B.A. in Biology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He then received his Doctorate Degree in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Fred then completed a two year Residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.
Through the years Dr. Fred had the privilege of working closely with children, from babysitting in the neighborhood to teaching summer arts camp. As a result, his philosophy on providing patient care is to offer the highest quality care while giving the best experience. Dr. Fred is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
In his free time he is an avid runner and outdoors enthusiast. He is excited to be living in a place where he can pursue these passions year round.
Dr. Lauren Young
Dr. Lauren Young was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Middlebury College in Vermont. She completed her doctorate degree in Dental Surgery at the Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, graduating with honors.
After dental school, she worked in a pediatric dental office in Los Angeles for several years before moving to Hawaii for her residency program. She completed a 2-year post-doctorate program in Pediatric Dentistry through Lutheran Medical Center and served as Chief Resident. During her residency program, Dr. Young worked in several hospitals and community health centers on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. She also finished an externship with Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego where she gained experience working with children with special health care needs. Dr. Young is proud to be part of the team at Pediatric Dentistry Associates and has continued to enjoy taking care of the children of Hawaii.
In addition to seeing her patients in private practice, she also has hospital privileges at Shriner’s Hospital. She is BLS and PALS certified.
In her free time, Dr. Young likes spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys golfing, hiking, playing tennis and cooking.
Dr. Mark Kitamura
Dr. Mark Kitamura earned his doctorate degree in orthodontics from the University of Washington. He has been providing outstanding orthodontic care since 1986. To stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Hawaii Society of Orthodontists, the Leeward Prosthodontic Study Club, Hawaii Orthodontic Study Club and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.
Outside the office, Dr. Mark Kitamura enjoys golf and ballroom dancing.

Dr. Nicole Endo
Dr. Nicole Endo was born and raised on Oahu, HI. She spent her childhood years going to school, playing soccer, and growing up in Pearl City. After graduating high school from Iolani in Honolulu, Dr. Nicole earned a B.S. in Biology at Santa Clara University in California. She then completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, graduating with honors.
After dental school, Dr. Nicole returned to Oahu to treat patients and earn her certificate in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Kokua Kalihi Valley. Following her residency, she began treating patients in a private pediatric office for a couple of years, where her love for working with children drove her to pursue an education in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Nicole completed a 2-year post doctorate pediatric dentistry program through New York University Langone Medical Center at its Hawaii site. Through her residency, she was able to treat patients at many health centers and hospitals throughout the islands of Hawaii, including Oahu, Lana’i, and the Big Island.
Dr. Nicole loves treating the keiki in her island home. She feels that treating children has brought her closer to the community she grew up in and she loves when her patients feel comfortable and safe in the dental office. In her free time, Dr. Nicole enjoys everything Hawaii has to offer: beaches, sunshine, mountains, and talking story with friends and family.
Dr. Supriya Koirala
Dr. Supriya Koirala was born and raised in Nepal. Though Dr. Koirala grew up in Nepal, she spent many of her formative years in Thailand, her mother’s country of origin.
Dr. Koirala completed her Undergraduate and Masters in Sociology from the University of Colorado. Thereafter while working in the non-profit sector, Dr. Koirala worked alongside dentists who provided treatment on a pro bono basis to individuals in underserved communities. Observing the immediate and positive impact their work had on the patients, Dr. Koirala made the decision to pursue dentistry as a long-term career.
Dr. Koirala obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. After completing dental school, Dr. Koirala completed a 2-year post-doctorate program in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Langone Hospital at their Hawaii site. During her residency, Dr. Koirala was able to work with children and adolescents in underserved communities across Hawaii, mainly Oahu, Maui, Big Island, and Lanai. The challenge and satisfaction of positively impacting the oral health of children and young adolescents left an indelible stamp and she is excited about continuing to pursue her passion.
Dr. Koirala and her husband spend their spare time traveling and exploring the world, particularly South-East Asia. She is also an enthusiastic salsa dancer and food aficionado, willing to try almost anything!
Dr. Tian He
Dr. Tian He was born in Shanghai, China and raised in New Jersey. She received her BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University in New York City. She then received her Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. Dr. Tian then completed a two year post doctorate residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. During her Pediatric Dental Residency Dr. Tian was a dental adjunct and helped provide essential preventive and restorative services to many inner-city public school students. She also provided valuable community services to programs such as “Give Kids a Smile Day” in New Jersey and with the “World Mission Dental Service Program” in Guatemala
Dr. Tian is committed to providing safe quality pediatric dental care to her patients in a fun and friendly manner. We are grateful to have this extraordinary Pediatric Dentist join our dental practice here in Pearl City.
In her spare time Dr. Tian enjoys scuba diving, underwater photography, traveling, TED talks and boba drinks.
Dr. Tiffany Lewis
Dr. Tiffany Lewis was born in Miami, Florida and raised on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. She received her B.A. in Mathematics from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She was awarded her Doctorate Degree in Dental Surgery from Columbia University in New York City. She then completed a two-year post-doctoral program at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, where she served as Chief Resident.
She enjoys fostering a warm and positive environment and making each visit enjoyable and comfortable for all patients and their families. She is also passionate about enhancing access to care for lesser-served populations, both locally and globally, through her international service in Guatemala, Belize, and Ethiopia.
A true island girl at heart, Dr. Tiffany enjoys her weekends at the beach with her husband. She also enjoys dancing, yoga, cooking, and trying new foods with friends and family.
